While you do not need to be a YaleLA member to attend most of our events, official club members receive added benefits such as:

• Event discounts for you and your guests (generally 30% or more - some events are free)
• Free drinks at our happy hours
• Access to members-only activities like our summer barbeque
• Advance notice on hot-ticket events
• ... and more!

If you will be attending more than one club event this year, your Yale Club membership will most likely pay for itself. Membership is also a great way to support our club and contribute to LA's Yale community.

How are membership dues used?

YaleLA is an independent 501c3 nonprofit. We do not receive any funding from the University or other on-campus entities, and do not solicit donations from our alums. Most of our programming is self-sustaining. We also mobilize the Yalie network to provide discounted and behind-the-scenes access whenever possible, and pass those benefits on to alums.

Your membership dues help cover remaining expenses like:

• Technology (this beautiful website and our newsletter)
• Community Service Programs (snacks, paintbrushes, hand trowels)
• Special Event Perks (appetizers at happy hours, raffle prizes)
• Travel for Visiting Presenters (Yale faculty and staff, a cappella, improv)
• Unrecouped Event Costs (nametags, pens, volunteer meals, etc.)

How do I sign up for Yale Club membership?

To become a YaleLA member, please visit the Member Subscription page to choose the annual or three-year plan that's best for you. If you already receive our newsletter, or if you have registered online before, you can sign in using that email address as your username.

I am already a Yale Club member. How can I renew my membership?

If you are an existing YaleLA member, you can renew your membership by logging into your account through the Sign In link in the top right corner of the website. Then visit "My Account" to review your membership status and select a new plan. If you extend your membership while it is still active, you will receive a discount on your member dues.

Oops, I meant to sign up for the Crimson Club of LA. Can I get a refund?

We are not able to provide refunds for membership dues. Please take comfort knowing your dues will help our club give back to the greater LA community, and feel free to stop by one of our events to enjoy your serendipitous VIP status.
