CANCELLED: Cheer, cheer for Cambridge! #GDBO

The Boat Race has been cancelled. Please stay safe and we hope to see you again in due course.

On March 29th, Cantab DC will be hosting a livestream viewing party for the 2020 Cambridge-Oxford Boat Race! Come join your fellow Cantabrigians at The Dubliner to cheer for light blue and rain curses upon the other place

The viewing will begin at 9:30am, with the races starting at 10:44am. The Dubliner is located at 4 F St NW, Washington, DC 20001.

Origins of the Race: First raced in 1829 The Boat Race is one of the oldest sporting events in the world, originally taking place in Henley on Thames following a challenge between old school friends. Since the second race in 1836 the contest has taken place in London and is watched by thousands along the banks of The Tideway, between Putney and Mortlake and by millions more on TV around the world.

Call for Rowers: Are you interested in joining the Cantab DC Boat Club for this year's upcoming Cambridge-Oxford Potomac Challenge? Then contact us about getting on the practice roster for this summer.

Transport: Please remember to travel responsibly when leaving the event. We urge you to take public transportation and/or use a taxi.

Friends of alumni are more than welcome and all are encouraged to wear any Cambridge stash you own. We look forward to seeing you there!
